In Mark 1 verse 35, it reads: "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed."
The story continues with the disciples looking for him and meeting him with what I would call "noisy excitement." They said that everyone was looking for Jesus. It doesn't say Jesus met them with excitement, anger, or even exhaustion. He stepped right back into his role and reminded everyone that it was time to go somewhere else where he could do what he was there to do - preach!
Two quick things: 1) Every now and then you should make time to go off in a solitary place, in the wee hours of the morning, perhaps in darkness to pray without distraction and interruption and 2) Don't let someone else's agenda and emotions get you off course.
If you're like me, your days and nights are just busy. Finding alone time is not that simple. I get up early on Saturdays and Sundays just to have that alone time to reflect and pray.
In these few verses, Jesus sought peace and quiet intentionally so that he could pray, perhaps for clarity to resume his mission. There will be times when you need to seek alone time to get refocused. Make it a priority to seek a solitary place, so that you can petition the Father uninterrupted and without ceasing.
