ACE #241: Rock Bottom

Have you ever hit rock bottom? You know...that place where you're just laying in the dirty rubble of rocks that feel like broken pieces of your life. You're looking all around trying to find some help from somewhere...from someone...just somehow.

Your bank account is empty.
You can't depend on anyone.
Your health is at it's worst.
Your job situation is horrible.
Your relationships are shot.
Your heart is aching.
Your mind is cloudy.
Your vision is blurry.
Even God doesn't feel present...

That's it. Right there. Rock bottom. It's painful. It's lonely.

Then you remember the Scripture that says to look to the hills from which comes your help...because in all of this maybe you forgot to look up...to heaven...where your Heavenly Father resides - the place from which He orchestrates blessings and miracles on your behalf.  Just look up...from the bottom.  It is only for a season.  The sooner you trust God, the sooner you pray, the sooner you fast, the sooner you get into His Word, the sooner hitting rock bottom will be your testimony of, "I'm working on a building" with those same rocks you were lying in BEFORE!

Just look up!

Psalm 121:1
I lift up my eyes to the mountains-- where does my help come from?

Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom before we look up to God!
