ACE #52: Refuse to Risk Your Relationship with God

Snatched right out of the headlines, "A Kentucky high school student refused to run in a regional cross-country race after she was assigned bib No. 666, according to LEX 18 in Lexington" and it made the national news!

She refused to wear the number "666," which is known as the biblical sign for "The Number of the Beast" (Revelations 13:15-18), representing the antichrist. And I couldn't have been more proud!  This is a young person who took a stand for her Christian beliefs.  So often people are quiet about their faith because it makes others uncomfortable.  "I didn't want to risk my relationship with God and try to take that number," Thacker told LEX 18.  What an awesome stance for the cause of Christ!

The reason Christians HAVE to spread the gospel, the word of God, is because of this:
"The Kentucky High School Athletic Association said it was not made aware that the request was based on Thacker’s religious beliefs, and says it would have accommodated her had it known".  Sadly, nobody on the committee even knew that "666" was offensive to Christians...

Stand firm!  Be bold enough to REFUSE to risk your relationship with God...no matter what the cost!

I used to watch the television show "666 Park Avenue".

I had to stop...
