Joshua was the commander of a great army. He fought many battles, but the battle at Jericho was one of the most famous in the Bible. God sent the commander of the army of the Lord before Joshua with special instructions. Joshua followed God's instructions precisely - that's why he was victorious. The word says that God was with Joshua. Joshua's obedience won the battle!
As part of God's army, let's always endeavor to take God with us wherever we go...in and out of "spiritual battle".

Hymn - Joshua fought the battle of Jericho - Lyrics
Refrain
Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho.
Joshua fought the battle of Jericho,
And the walls came a tumbling down.
You can talk about your men of Gideon,
You can talk a-bout your men of Saul,
But there's none like good old Joshua and the battle of Jericho. Oh!
Refrain
Joshua rose early in the morning,
That is when the trumpets blew.
They marched around the city, at the battle of Jericho. Oh!
Refrain
Right up to the walls of Jericho,
He marched with spear in hand,
He commanded the children to SHOUT! and the walls came a tumbling down. Oh!
And the walls came a tumbling down!
