ACE #58: Scandal Time - Your Commander in Chief

How many of you cringed every time Fitz answered Olivia's questions with, "You are speaking to the commander-in-chief"?  You could see the hurt on her face, in her eyes, almost in her heart.  She wanted to know if the man she has loved for some time was responsible for her mother's death.  Even when she said that she was only a teenager when her mother died, he still responded to her in this formal manner - such deception and secrecy!

By definition, "a commander-in-chief is the person or body exercising supreme operational command and control of a nation's military forces or significant elements of those forces".  This individual has control of a lot of things that matter...most often in life or death situations.

Throughout the Bible, God's chosen people have always been led by Him.  He gave them specific instructions in times of both military and spiritual warfare.  Some of God's chosen people, or "spiritual warriors," include: Adam, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Joshua, Jacob and Jesus.  God specifically told Joshua to "be strong and courageous" as he stepped into Moses' shoes as a spiritual leader.  It is difficult to allow anyone to be in control of your life, or your destiny.  Because of who we are, oftentimes we really think we are our own individual commander-in-chief rather than being God's spiritual warrior.

Submit to God being your commander-in-chief. Let Him be in "supreme operational command and control" of your life. He  never loses a battle...
