ACE #173: You Still Mad?

If you're a University of Kentucky basketball fan, perhaps you're still mad about UConn defeating your favorite team in the NCAA Championship Game.  If you're a University of Louisville basketball fan, then you're probably still "beefing" with UK fans and celebrating their loss because, after all, UK did beat UofL twice this year and made it to the Final Four.  It stings for both sides a little - okay, a whole lot.  But here's the deal, you're only still mad if your false idols showed you their real humanity

If you're a Christian, then you have to know that we serve a jealous God that said, "Thou shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3).  In Matthew 6:24, Jesus reminded us that "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other..." and then there's 1 Corinthians 10:14, "Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry."

They're just boys - mere mortals - and, now, your feelings are still hurt because...your team, full of baby idols, lost.  Learn the lesson...it really is just a game.
