When our truck broke down, my prayer was that it could be "easily repaired at minimal cost". Christmastime was fast approaching and we'd just returned from vacation. (See here: http://theafterchurchexperience.blogspot.com/2013/10/ace-27-seeing-god-on-side-of-road.html). We were also paying for my tuition for graduate school. Even in all of this, we were trusting God that this cost would not put our finances in a bind. We had to determine if fixing the truck was better or just purchasing a new vehicle would be the way to go. We have always been conscious of accumulating additional debt and being good stewards of our finances. So we prayed about the decision.
Thankfully, God provided us a network of resourceful people who knew people who knew people so that we could get our car repaired reasonably. There's something about making our requests known to God. Sometimes for things in our lives to be "easily repaired at minimal cost" it's about our level of faith and our ability to trust God to be the Jehovah Jireh (provider) of the things concerning us.
If your need is financial, emotional, mental, physical, spiritual or beyond anything already named - make your request known to God FIRST! Then trust His guidance and His provision to meet the need.
