ACE #34: A New Season
Over the weekend, I witnessed the dawning of a new season.
The University of Kentucky held its annual opening practice before a sold out
arena. You could feel the excitement in the air and the anticipation for the new
team. This was because last season was a nightmare for the Big Blue Nation.
Things quickly went south after the injury to Nerlens Noel. From that, the team
never really established a purpose. But, last Friday, changed everything for
the fans and the team. It’s a new season and the Cats are ready to put the past
behind and look to the future.
Wow! Only if we could look to our seasons in the Lord like
this. There is no let down.
The scriptures tell us that “for everything, there is a
season.” You see, someone might be in a bad season right now. But God is
getting bring a new season. It is time for someone to have a breakout season
and see what the Lord has in store. Last season is gone. Someone is getting
ready to show the love of Christ in a new season. He makes everything right for
its time. Establish this identity. Get ready! Get excited! Anticipate what God
is getting ready to do for those who are in Christ Jesus. We don’t need a sold
out arena, we just have to be sold out that He will do what He says. Rejoice. The
new season, in Christ, is here!
